100% Pure Vegetable Juice

I don't remember exactly when I bought this bottle of V8. It was probably somewhere around the beginning of 2004 - not really sure. I bought it because I was on a health kick at the time. I had decided that I was going to drink a little cup each day to get my recommended dosage of vitamin A,B,C,D & E and all of the rest! Well, as you can see the lid is still intact and no juice has been consumed! The date on the bottle reads May 13, 2004- I think I'm a little late! I guess another wasted item going in the trash along with the lonely banana.

Did you know that V8 has the juice of carrots, celery, beets, parsley, lettuce, watercress, and spinach? Oh! Parsley and lettuce?

What out dated items do you have in your pantry or refrigerator?

Peg, I love how you put a little question at the end of some of your blog entries. It's so fun! Great way to get feedback! I've got several really old things in my pantry, but they're seasoning mixes. Do those go bad? I guess I could look for an expiration date. As for my fridge, there's some spaghetti in there that needs to be thrown out. Other than that, everything else is pretty current. At least I hope so!

They're not outdated, but I have about 10 cans of canned chicken weiners - I don't even know the right name for them - but they are so disgusting that even my children, who love hot dogs, won't eat them. We got them from some charity after Hurricane Ivan. The charity probably got them from someone else who was emptying their pantry!

This is so funny! When we moved last September I cleaned everything out that was dated. There was way too much. Meds were another thing that I cleared away. So right now the worst thing might be the questionably overripe tomatoes that should have gone out in the trash this morning--but I wasn't here...so they'll go out on Friday instead!

O how funny--I have a can of V-8, too. Definitely from a previous health kick. You wanna agree to pitch them together? I will if you will. I had 4 really pretty gross bananas I just knew I would get to freeze, but Meg(han)was down over the weekend and ate all of them.
Yes, Peg and Meg would be too good!

Keep it sealed and trash it. V-8 is NOT recommended drinking material.

Ashley - I don't think seasonings go bad, they just loose their flavor! I have had mine forever. I love the feedback- thanks!
Lori - Hum - that sounds pretty bad! How many hurricanes have you experienced?
Fish - I guess you can save them when you celebrate the new year - 2006!
daisymarie - Not even an old seasoning? Your good!
jettybetty - Let's do it, girl!
Emporer - Anything with liquified lettuce and parsley is definitely not a recommended drinking material!

I love your comments - thanks!

It's okay Saija - I am too! My husband informed me one time that there is a National "Clean Your Refrigerator Out" Day. Do you think he was trying to tell me something?
